Hey guys, I'm attempting a project where I will be switching the blower cooler on my 1080ti founders edition for an EVGA SC cooler. From everything I've read, it should work out just fine, I'll just have to figure out thermal pad thickness for myself. My biggest concern, however, is that the 1080ti FE doesn't use a standard baseplate, as it's baseplate is part of the rest of the blower cooler. Then I'd like to replace it with some electrically insulative material that would cover everything except the VRMs, VRAM etc (any hotspot that would have a thermal pad on it) so that I wouldn't have to worry about the heatsink shorting the card. I know arctic accelero coolers use some sort of film on the backside to isolate the card from the heatsink, perhaps something like that would be viable if one of you could suggest a similar material. Do you have any suggestions?
