What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.
I am looking at building a rocket league based gaming rig for a friend who loves the game but is in a pretty shitty living situation. He plays rocket league a lot in a really old laptop and thought I would try and build him something as he is constantly has overheating issues.
I personally don't have the game so I'm not sure how good the build would have to be. I plan on getting it after I build this pc for him so I can play it with him, but rather put the 20 bux into his PC fund for now.
**If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for?
I am hoping to get him something that is at least 1080 and 60hz. Maybe try and future proof and be able to run 4k at 60hz or 1080 at 144 hz.
I'm thinking around 500$. Have around 200 of it that I have right now if any good parts go on sale. Plan to try and get the parts over the next 3 months as I slowly make some money. Student loans suck.
In what country are you purchasing your parts?
USA

I saw this entry level gaming gig for around my price range and was wondering if this was a good rig to make and start. Is there anything you would change?
