New PC build boots but no display to monitor (can't tell if motherboard or cpu issue)
Post Body

Please help me boys I'm, really depressed right now I spent all this money and my PC doesn't work :( someone save me

The build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fznHMZ(motherboard on here isn't the one as I couldn't find it on pcp)

This is my motherboard https://www.amazon.com/ASRock-Motherboard-B450-Gaming-K4/dp/B07FW5ZMHQ/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=b450 gaming k4&qid=1551551297&s=home-garden&sr=8-1

Hi everyone, I just built a new new pc, but I'm getting no display to my monitor (it just reads no signal once I plug in the HDMI Cable or Display Port and turn on my PC).

  1. I've tried testing out my GPU and RAM on a friends PC and it worked fine on his computer, so those parts aren't
    defective.

  2. We also tried the GPU is both PCIE slots and that didn't work either. Also tried the ram in all slot combinations (A1, B1, A2, B2, etc). Also tried with just 1 stick in and vice versa

  3. Resetting/clearing the CMOS was another suggesting I had tried but that did not work as well.

  4. When I turn on the computer all my LED's / Fans (GPU fan, CPU Fan, Case Fans ) for all the components work so I don't think it is the motherboard but not sure since it is providing power to everything,.

  5. Also yes we plugged in the HDMI / Display into the GPU and not the motherboard. I have a ryzen 5 2600 which has no integrated graphics/speaker so we can't really test out anything with just the cpu plugged in.

  6. Yes the standoffs are properly placed with the motherboard, we even tried taking out the motherboard and essentially reassembling/connecting everything to make sure nothing was loose/not plugged in.

  7. The monitor was on the correct input when we tried the HDMI and the display port. Also the monitor does work as my roommate has been using his PS4 on it in the meantime my PC has been not working.

  8. Also yes the CPU Power cable is plugged in.

So essentially we're assuming maybe the CPU doesn't work /isn't getting power? (the cpu fan works at least)

If y'all could help a brother out I'd seriously appreciate it im really desperate at this point :(
