First off, thanks! This is an amazing sub and you guys really got me through to this point - which I didn't think I could do. Sorry for this long post but I wanted to include as much info as possible!
So I built it, and then I followed this post almost to a t.

The one thing I didn't do was update BIOS...which now I am regretting because I think that will likely alleviate my issues. But after some googling on how when I built earlier in the week, it seemed is was not recommended unless needed, and not a "beginner" update. Scared me away.
So windows 10 is installed, works great. I've been playing a few steam games which are just absolutely amazing coming from console. Everything is working amazing - except for a weird boot.
Issues:
-(1)- Occasionally disconnects from wired ethernet, especially if I leave to go do something for a few hours and come back. I've updated every driver I can find for the router and downloaded the netgear software, etc. Just seems to randomly disconnect. If I shut down and reboot, it's connected. Spent a lot of time googling, adjusting settings, etc.
-(2) When I boot, about 80% of the first time I try to boot it, it will go to the "ASROCK" screen and just get stuck / frozen.
My options are "Press F1 or DEL to run UEFI", "Press F6 for Instant Flash", "Press F11 for Boot Menu", "Press Tab to Switch Screen". However, I cannot make any selections, it's just frozen.
So I power down, unplug, hold the power button down to discharge capacitors (found this on google) and it boots completely normal to windows 10. The ASROCK screen will flash back on for a second before windows boot (like intended) and presumably these selections are available and not frozen because it seems to be a "normal" boot.
I wasn't that concerned until I noticed it was pretty much every time and the reboot also fixed the ethernet. which makes me think mobo. No other bugs I can tell and I've been doing a good deal with it.
I think these will be important?
from system information:
Bios Version/Date: American Megatrends Inc. P1.10, 6/19/18
Bios Mode: Legacy
This is what I've found online for updating, looks like version P1.3? So newer?

Concerns
- I can't find one video or guide on how to update my specific MOBO Bios, if that's what I need to go. I've read you can do it right from bios, from Windows, from a USB, etc. Not sure the best approach. Scared of frying everything and I have no more money to invest in this. Honestly just scared to ruin everything at this point.
-The videos and guides I have found about updating other ASROCK (Earlier model?) mobo's are confusing.
- Will I need to reinstall windows or anything? Are there any downsides to bios update? What are my risks?
Here it is, in all it's glory: :)
Here is my build:
