Gaming Laptop vs Desktop with cheap laptop
Post Body

I have a friend who is wondering whether or not making a desktop is worth it with college still going. He needs a laptop to take to class and stuff, but I thought a good idea would be to make a desktop and remote into it for more heavy use outside of his house. Is this an acceptable solution, or is it better to just get a gaming laptop? It seems that building a good pc and getting a cheap laptop or tablet (200-300$) are about the same price. Are there any good programs for remote connections like this? I sometimes use chrome remote desktop with my phone and have not have any issues accessing files and programs. Is there a better way to do this? Are there any laptops or tablets you recommend for this? Also using these remote access software, is there a way to wake up your computer from sleep mode so I do not have to leave it on all the time?
