My i7-4790k is pretty hot in Far Cry 5 and other CPU intensive games which is understandable. Is it safe though? It usually will be around 75-79 and spike to 80 or 82-84 for a split second sometimes. It's overclocked to 4.4ghz at 1.150v no throttling on the core clock since I've had it late 2014. Only issues I've ever had is blue screen when it didn't agree with certain overclocks in the past. Also, I replaced thermal paste about 3 months ago and the computer is dust free for the most part.

P.S : In the past I've done stress tests that have made the cpu really hot upwards to 100 for a couple seconds but I've never had it shut off or have errors just stopped the tests. Could those have damaged the cpu even if it shows no signs of damage.
