Media/File Server Build

Post Body

I'm planning on building a small server for emby and misc files. I want to leave room for growth in the future and to be able to use around 4 streams at once. All streaming will be done over network so I'm not concerned with a gpu.

Was looking to spend around $700-800 US

I have an 8tb easy store and was going to shuck it once the bad blocks test is complete. If i was going to use FreeNAS with ZFS would it be worth it to get another 8th easy store or two 4tb drives?

I built myself a general use pc about a year ago, so I have some experience. After fooling around with that it got me interested in making the server. Also if I do choose the FreeNas build, the OS will be on a flash drive so I wouldn't need a solid state boot drive.

What do ya'll think of my build?
