Build Help/Ready:
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.
Use case is intended to be a split between gaming and programming, also with some reasonably computationally intensive simulation. The latter is least priority, so where a pay-off is required, I'd rather focus on gaming, and general usability.
I am looking to experiment with overclocking, and one of my concerns is that I don't have sufficient cooling for the 7700K.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)
Hoping for ~120 fps for BF1 on 1440p ultra. Currently limited to 1080p by monitors, but will be upgrading in the not too distant future.
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?
Was hoping to get this build to roughly £1000. One of the main purposes of this post was to see where might be best to shave off £100-£200 whilst minimising effect on performance.
In what country are you purchasing your parts?
UK.
Post a draft of your potential build here.

Provide any additional details you wish below.
I'm aware that Coffee Lake is coming out in a few days; I don't intend to purchase anything before I see where the 7g/8g prices lie. I don't really have any budget to increase cost, and if there is any room to reduce cost with only small performance change, that would be ideal.
I also wanted to double check that there won't be any compatibility issues or extra steps needed during or after the building process.
I appreciate the help!
