Hey guys,
I bought a used 1080ti over on /r/hardwareswap and when I connect the gpu to the monitor and start the system, the monitor just flashes a few colors (green, white, red, black etc) and then shuts off.
I put my 980 back into my system and it works just fine. I tried to install the 1080ti drivers from the website while I had my 980 in the system but same problem. Any advice? Thanks guys.
Also, I'm using the adapter display port - > DVI adapter.
Specs: I7 4770k
Nvidia 1080ti FE / Zotac AMP 980
750w Evga supernova gold psu
Msi Z87-G45 mobo
16gb ram
EDIT: In case anyone sees this again, it turns out it was my monitor (X-star dp2710) that wasn't compatible with the card. It needed a true/active DVI to DVI port. It worked fine with an HDMI to a TV
