Computer noob looking to make the switch from PS4 to PC

Hello builders! I've read a bunch of posts on here about inexpensive builds but none of them quite match up to what I am looking for. I don't have the know how to change anything on other Redditors builds.

I am currently a console gamer (I know... The c word...) but I intend to sell it with the games and accessories to get enough cash together to build a pc. So here is my dilemma...

I am looking to build a PC for about 300-400ish CAD that can perform the same or better than my PS4. I will be hooking it up to a 65 inch 1080p LED television via HDMI...

I hope this makes sense. Thanks all!

Quick edit: I usually play first person shooters or RPGs like Final Fantasy or WoW. Minecraft would also be a big deal for my kids.
