So, as I already stated in the title, I'm looking to build a PC for casual gaming, like some GTA 5, Rust, Overwatch, ARK: Survival, Witcher, etc.. and some very basic 3D designing. I don't really want a beefed-up monster of a PC. But about the OS, I only want to run Windows 10, nothing else. The OS is not a problem, I can take care of that, and the OS doesn't have add up to the final cost. And I don't really want easily overheating builds either.

I don't really care about all the 60FPS hype, I am fine as long as it can run the games on normal graphics; 1080p at AT LEAST 30 - 40 FPS. I'm not gonna do any of the VR crap just yet. I could maybe spend something around 400$ - 600$. (I'm doing this in the USA)

I took a look at a few guides and I'm thinking of this build:

  • AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor

  • Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-H Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard

  • Crucial 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory

  • Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

  • XFX Radeon RX 460 2GB Video Card

  • Deepcool TESSERACT SW ATX Mid Tower Case

  • EVGA 500W 80 Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Apparently it all adds up to something close to 420$.

So, is that build good for me, or is it too low, or is it overkill? Also, I dont really know much about building PCs, and that is why this following noob question. What about the headphone/mic jacks? What about the USB ports? Are they included with the motherboard? Like, the jacks and the USBs will be present in the front AND the back?
