Unusual processor performance issue.
Post Body

First, my specs. I run an i5 -6500 3.2ghz, GTX 970, and 8gb of ram. I built my PC almost a year ago, and my problem only started last night.

Basically it seems that my processor has suddenly lost a lot of performance. I noticed by playing video games (Grim Dawn). Sometimes it starts and I get normal fps (80-100) for about 5-10 minutes followed by a pretty steady drop to 10-20dps. I tried all of the Grim Dawn specific fixes I could think of, nothing. So I loaded up Witcher 1 (normally I get very high fps), and my game was running at 30 fps instead. Next I checked the Windows performance index thing (that vague scale that goes to 7.9) and my processor score changed from a 6.something to a 4.8.

I made sure everything is fully updated, this is persistent throughout multiple restarts, I can't figure out what's causing the sudden drop in performance.

I do transport my computer ALOT. sometimes I bump corners a bit (nothing really bad), and it has been very cold out lately. I figured condensation or moisture would simply cause it to short, and a loose wire would make everything not work.

To clarify my computer runs normally, but performs like shit. Any advice or ideas would be hugely appreciated!
