Would like help deciding between laptop and desktop for video game design for school
Post Body

I'm a university student, in my school's electronic arts/video game design program. As such, while I do like playing video games, I'm looking for a better PC to do animation, 3D modeling, environment building in unreal, and programming. I often study/work away from home, usually at school but often elsewhere. Because of that, I'm leaning towards a laptop. Do you guys have any recommendations, advice, or warnings?

Additionally, last I've heard, SSD drives are fast, but not good long term/when used a lot as they die with less writes than a conventional drive. Is this still the case?
