My Q6600 build from 2007 is finally starting to die. Thought I'd throw this up here before I buy.

Mostly used for gaming, general computer stuff and movies. I use a tv for movies and tv but the monitor for almost everything else. I mostly play SP games like fps and rpg, or casual MP. I might get into a bit of casual video editing if I had a decent pc.

Looking for 1080p 60, or 2560x1080.

I don't really have a budget set in stone, just trying to keep things reasonable and kind of aim for bang-for-buck. I don't plan on overclocking.

For the most part it's a pretty standard build that you'll see here 100 times a day.

I have storage (an SSD and a couple TB drives from my old pc) and an OS.

I'm a little torn right now about the monitor. I'm using an old HP w2207 from 2007 atm and I'm mostly happy with it. Anything will be an improvement since it's not even 1080p. I'm concerned the 29" ultrawide might be short but it's basically the same height as my current 22" 16:10, which I'm fine with. The only other option below $300 is a 24" or 27" 1080p and I kinda just want to try the ultrawide. I don't really need 144hz or 1440p or gsync/freesync. The only thing I really do want is IPS. I figure if I'm happy with what I have now I'll love the ultrawide. I don't really need a new monitor but I don't want to finally get a new pc and use the same old display. I might turn my old one 90 degrees and put it to the side.

Which 1060 should I get? I chose the EVGA one kind of at random. It would be nice to get a 1070 but the extra $200 is just too much, especially if I'm only gaming at 2560x1080 at the most.

The case is just a cheap one to put parts in, I think I'll look into a nice HTPC case in the future. But I do kind of want to keep it small and discrete. I'm not so crazy about my Antec 900 anymore.

Some minor details might change as I try to minimize shipping but for the most part that's what I'm looking at.
