Post Body

Hello. I'll try to describe my problem as best as I can.

At random times whilst using my headset (Steelseries Siberia V3), my audio will become extremely loud and distorted, sounding almost exactly like an 8 bit game.

The audio also seems to stay at the same volume whether it is at 100 or 20.

I have tried disabling and re-enabling my audio drivers, reinstalling drivers does fix it temporarily, but eventually it will distort itself again.

The problem doesn't seem to go away unless I restart my PC.

The trigger today was when I was playing CS GO and entered a recoil practice map. The audio then became loud and distorted.

I suspect that the problem is linked to my onboard audio.

I am using a Gigabyte Z97-G1 Sniper's onboard SoundCore3D.

I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.

If you need anymore info please ask!

Specs if needed:

  • Windows 10 64 Bit

  • i5-4670K

  • GTX 760

  • Gigabyte G1. Sniper Z97

  • 8 GB RAM

  • Headset is SteelSeries Siberia V3

Thanks!
