I know I missed out on some Black Friday deals, but the current online deals are pretty decent still. This is my first post on the sub, so hopefully I don't mess it up too badly.

Some basic info: my 7-year old desktop burnt out a couple days ago from a rogue December thunderstorm and I decided to put $500 towards a budget gaming desktop. Right now I mostly want something that can play Steam games, and other current gen games at medium-high settings with above 30 fps. I'm not trying to play Witcher 3 at 60 fps, or anything like that.

I already own a 21" 1080p LCD monitor, along with peripherals like a Logitech Kb/mouse and DVD reader; I also have a Windows 7 license, will that work on my rig? I'm not a fan of 8 but if I have to use a newer version that would be good to know.

I already purchased the video card earlier tonight because I wasn't sure if it would still be around tomorrow. It was a great deal for the price so I couldn't risk it.. And yes, I saw the thread about the video card I bought on /buildapcsales which is what influenced my decision to buy it tonight just in case.

Any last advice before I buy the lot tomorrow?
