So I sorely need an upgrade for my desktop internal hard drive. I have about 50 GB of music and about 65 GB of photos. Plus, I'm a gamer. I currently have a 320 GB hard drive. Ouch.
I am looking for a 1TB regular internal HD or a SSD IF I can find one under $150. The problem is, I can't figure out what will fit/what my motherboard will be compatible with. I think the majority of SSDs will be too big. The first time I build my PC was back in '09. I upgraded in '12, but kept the same hard drive. I have no clue why. Now, I can't for the life of me figure out what will even fit.
Here's my hardware:
current HD: WD Blue AAKS 320GB SATA3.0
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V LGA 1155 Intel
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4G 6M
Videocard: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870
Memory: 8GB G.Skill RipJaw
Any help would be incredibly appreciated.
Sincerely,
A frustrated, confused girl.
