Build Help/Ready:

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)

Yes.

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

I'm a developer and junior computer engineering student. I need a computer for compiling programs and some demanding simulation applications. I also game on the side and want to be ready for fallout 4-like requirement games. I know its hard to check because it hasn't been tested yet but they recommend the specs here. I don't know if this is capable for 1440 though so I'm slightly confused. I tried to make this build sorta future proof with SLI and other upgrade capabilities but let me know if you would suggest something else.

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, FPS, game settings)

2560x1440, 60fps, medium to max.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

$1200 - $1400

In what country are you purchasing your parts?

United states.

Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).

Just want to say thanks in advance for any help. I've built my friends pc's but never my own so I'm pretty excited but know less about the parts themseleves. I tried to do my research from logical increments and pcpartpicker but I may have not done enough. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
