Build Help/Ready: [Troubleshooting]

I just put together my new rig. MSI board with Gskill ram and a EVGA GTX 970 card. I've got the signal out from the GPU but I cannot get anything to from the display ports. The monitor has the right drivers and is being recognized. When I try to change to a dual display with extended desktop it says "unable to save the changes to display settings." Have done all updates that I know of and installed all drivers that I can think of. Please help
