I just built a system with the following specs, and have a question about the temps I am getting during the system stress test.
i7 8520k X99X Killer- AsRock mobo EVGA GTX Titan Superclocked G skill 2666 memory Corsair 105 cooler 850watt Corsair supply
The system runs very stable at 4.4 ghz (using AsRock’s overclock template) @ 1.295v. I am testing with the most extreme test profile in the intel stress test program. The temps have reached up to 82c which I assume is a bit high? Or is it nothing I should be concerned with?
I have to back up and explain a little more. The Corsair 105 came with fans that worked great and kept the system cool— low 70’s at max test. But the fans were noisy as all hell. So I replaced them with vortex fans that are super quiet, yet do not produce as much static air pressure. I could go back to the old fans, but need a good balance of performance versus silence. So ultimately, my question is— will the system be safe with the current temps I am getting during testing or should I figure out some other solution?
Thanks!!
