Build Help/Ready:

So I am helping a friend build a new desktop PC and have a question about graphics cards. In his old PC he has a GeForce GTX 570. I also just upgraded and was going to give him my old Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB card. How big is this difference in performance on these cards? and is it worth to give him this card or should I have him buy a new one?
