When i try to install the drivers for my videocard, my screen turns black (still on, there is light coming from it), but my computer keeps running. After waiting ten minutes, the screen was still black, and my computer was still running.
List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem.
I recently tried to install this videocard in my system. Before the installation i uninstalled the drivers and used drivesweeper in safemode. Everything was fine and correctly installed (checked the power cables and such). My computer booted up fine and went to desktop. When i tried to install the drivers from the asus site, my screen turned black (lighter black than when my computer is turned of, you could still see light coming from it.), but my computer kept running. When i tried another output of the videocard, i got the same result. I tried another gpu in the same slot on my mobo, and with the other videocard (both amd) i could install the drivers just fine.
After that i uninstalled the drivers again, and checked with drivesweeper in safemode. then i put the (not working) gpu in my computer and tried again but this time with the drivers from the amd site. I used custom install and unselected everything i could unselect, except for the drivers. While the drivers where installing, the screen turned black again.
I think i've tried everything and I am thinking about trying to rma the card.
sorry for the big text, and english is not my native language so it may not be fully correct.
Post relevant photos of build/parts here.
I don't think hardware photos are neccesary, but if it is I will post them later
