Has anyone ever made DIY air filters?
Post Body

I'm a freak when it comes to dust inside my computer, soon I will be getting a Corsair Air 540. Obviously it's a very open case for max airflow but I would like to sacrifice a small amount of that flow for hardware safety and cleanliness.

This case has like 6 open holes on it, one comes with a filter. I looked up a set of filters by some company specifically for the 540 and they were like 70 bucks for some damn mesh. Nope. I figured that can probably be made for like 10 bucks with some tight mesh and black tape.

Has anyone ever done this? What would you suggest for materials? Obviously I'm going to just tape them on with some black electrical tape or something but I have no idea exactly what type of "mesh" I should be using that is easily cleanable and doesn't destroy airflow.

Thanks
