Now I know this is probably the worst question to ask on here but this place seems better than /g/.

In terms of bare performance, price not being a point of argument. Which is best? Is there a best? and Are they good at different things.

For arguments sake we'll say its a battle between -a low range card from both manufactures (gt 730 vs R7 250x) - a mid range card from both manufactures (GTX 750 Ti vs R7 260x) - a high end card from both manufactures (gtx 980 vs R9 290x)

Obviously all these cards should be able to display HD video but what are we expecting from game performance, do some games run better on different manufactures cards or is it a even playing field across the board.

This is not a fanboy debate this is a genuine argument considering performance only, again price is NOT a point of argument.
