I bought a new Gigabyte GTX 770 OC 2GB graphics card when I built my PC in July and used it until the end of August (when I left for uni). I bought it for ca. $330 (converted from SEK), which was cheap at the time and I also got a free Watch Dogs copy.
Now, the Gigabyte GTX 970 4GB WF3 OC is on sale for $400 which is fairly cheap compared to other 970s which are $450 . You also get a free copy of Far Cry 4 which I was planning on buying at some point. I could probably sell my GTX770 for ca. $200 to a friend. Should I sell my GTX770 and buy the GTX970? What performance differences can I expect? Edit: I'm playing on a 1080p 60Hz monitor.
TL;DR Sell GTX770, buy GTX970?
I'm running an i5-4690K and a Z97 mobo btw.
Essentially what it comes down to is losing $130 on my GTX770 purchase while keeping Watch Dogs and buying a GTX970 for $400 and getting a free FC4 copy.
