On pcpartschecker it says there are no incompatibilities but on the Amazon page it says that a Z97 board is required.

I plan on having this computer for the next few years and figure I'd eventually like to look into overclocking. I'll probably be doing some rendering like Chunky which uses CPU. Right now I have installed the i5-4570 so overclocking wouldn't be possible. Amazon gives you a month to return items so I was thinking of returning it and getting either the 4570k or just going to the 4690k for $40.

Also I'm wondering if this might just be too much of a hassle. Would I see very much performance boost?
