I have had a 780 since around christmas, and while I get solid performance at 1080p on higher settings, it is nowhere near the insane framerates seen in benchmarks. For example, I get around 40-50fps, with or without vsync at 1080p with all settings maxed out. Most benchmarks I have seen (at stock clock) show much higher framerates then that. I have tried moving the card to different slots and reinstalling drivers, etc, but nothing seems to work. I feel however that I may have discovered an issue. While playing DayZ on high settings at 1080, I ran GPU-Z in the background. Upon quitting the game I checked GPU-Z to see the highest temperature readings, and realized it capped out at 60 degrees, as if there was some temperature cap on the card. I have never set any sort of cap or limit on the card, and have read about other 700 series cards running much hotter. I don't worry about temperature as I have the ACX Cooling model as well as adequate airflow in my rig. Therefore I would easily sacrifice these low temps for those advertised framerates. Thanks in advance.
