Hello there /r/buildapc!
I am ready to make my second build! Reason for this is because I am going to sell my old rig to my friend and I need to make a newer and better one! I was debating whether to get a GTX 770 or a R9 280x because I had ordered one a while ago from amazon but I decided to cancel it because I hear that the 770 is just a little better overall.
I want to be able to SLI in the future, but for now I would only want one 770 in my rig. That means that I would want a motherboard and a power supply that can support both of them when the time comes. I saw this motherboard in a post the other day and would like to know your opinion on it? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130693&clickid=wXY1ICRc8xgeTOoQAYQg52E6UkT109TZzThDx40&iradid=97618&ircid=2106&irpid=79301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na
For a processor, I was thinking somewhere along the lines of an i5-4670k because I would want the ability to overclock if I wanted to.
I already have a 120gb SSD that I would use to put my start up files in, but I would like a 2TB HDD to be recommended as well! OS is not a problem as I already have a license that I can use :)
I was thinking 16gb of Ram but I dont think I would need that much Ram, so 8gb I guess is the way to go! If you guys can recommend some good Ram that would be appreciated too! An optical drive would be an awesome addition if you know some good ones!
Lastly I would like to know if there is a white case that can hold all of this neatly! If there isnt one in a white color, then I am not super picky about it :) But a good enough case would be greatly appreciated!
I would say my price range is maybe $1000-$1200. Somewhere around that ballpark but I am flexible with the prices of the items!
I would also like to say that I am sorry for not using pc partpicker! Sorry if that made this post a little hard to read and understand!
Thank you ahead of time guys! I have seen some amazing builds here in the time that I have spent on Reddit and am hoping to get an awesome build for myself as well! :)
