Putting together a gaming & professional video/photo editing computer. I've received advice on a build from r/buildapcforme (link: http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcforme/comments/1k026r/1500_budget_videophoto_editing_and_gaming_pc_with/ )
I recently bought the two 7950's because they were too cheap to pass up...so that's the only part I'm not flexible on. Would appreciate advise on the rest of the build, and whether or not anything is incompatible.
Some notes:
I don't plan on OC'ing the CPU much (if at all), so not sure if I need a CPU cooler. I do, however, plan on OC'ing the GPU's slightly (if possible).
This will be my first time trying Crossfire, so I want to make sure I'm setting everything up well to fully utilize both cards.
I plan on working/playing off single or dual-1080p monitors mostly, but I also intend to use the system as a "steam box" (linking up to my TV using HDMI and have it function as a living room game console).
My budget was roughly $1500 (I've already found lower prices than the ones listed here, and the 7950s only cost me $380 total), but I'm not opposed to spending a little more if it will get me a little more bang for my buck.
Carrying over optical drives, monitors, mice/keyboard, and other accessories from my previous system.
One big question: will all of this fit in the mid-tower I listed? I honestly have no idea. I could go full if needed.
Anyway here's the build. Any and all tips would be very much appreciated! :
