Weird freezing, need help

Post Body

Hey everyone, had a weird problem arise recently and can’t for the life of me figure out what’s dying.

When playing a game or using any type of load, seemingly at random sometimes 2 mins in sometimes 4 hours in, I’ll lose audio. When I lose audio without fail the game will freeze 2-3 mins later. When the game freezes I can open ctrl alt delete and try to access task manager, but it won’t open fully. I can open other windows on my other monitor but they won’t fully load, and I can’t force quit anything. I can only do each of these things one time then not again, and it will slowly degrade to a full freeze but never a blue screen.

Attempted remedy: Clean OS install, removed one suspect SSD, running OS on separate drive from everything else Tested with alternate ram (brand new, plucked from friends current build, no change) Cleaned and repasted cpu, not a temp issue, system runs very cool even under load with aio.

At the end of my rope, want to say MOBO issue but not technical enough to know for sure and unsure how I would confirm, don’t really want to throw parts at it.

Current build sheet if needed:

Ryzen 5 5600x Asus 3070ti 64gb 3600mhz Corsair ram 1000w 80 gold seasonic psu Asus prime b550 mobo Windows 11 Asus ryo aio Samsung 850 pro 1TB m.2 (for games etc) WD blue 2.5” ssd 2TB for boot / os

All less than a year old, was running like a champ forever, never OC, really would appreciate some input on what in the devil this could be cause I’m at a loss.
