“The 7800X3D might not ship with one, but AMD's Zen 3 and Zen 4 stock cooler is perfectly capable of cooling the 7800X3D, as Buildzoid proved. You can buy one of these on Ebay for $10, throw it on your 7800X3D, and your performance and temperatures will be within a percent or two of much more powerful coolers.”
The article goes on to continue to explain that this CPU does not run hot and basically states a very simple cooler is just fine for this CPU. I haven’t seen this stated elsewhere, if I am on a budget and I want to cut a good amount, I’m seeing and thinking I could save nearly $75-100 here. What’s everyone’s realistic thoughts on this? I know water cooled and other big, fun, better coolers exist, but would I truly be okay with a cooler like this?
