So A friends computer died.
Post Body

And I feel like shit because of it, but it puzzles me.

After putting a new graphics card in, and redoing the thermal paste, and days of gaming, he said his computer flashed a BSOD and died, and wouldnt turn back on. My first thought was it overheated, but he said he waited for it to cool back down and tried it again to no avail.

It wasnt a prebuilt, it was a dell XPS tower 2 or 3 years old. Had a shitty mobo so we couldnt go aftermarket on cooling, but im thinking the heatsink was at fault. But why would it game fine for days and all of a sudden overheat and fry the CPU?

That said, does anyone have a 775 CPU they are trying to get rid of?
