As the title says, I haven't built a PC since 2004. Ran that thing for 10 years before I sold it and have bought off the shelf PC's for the last 10 years. I thought things were confusing my first build 2 decades ago, but holy hell its gotten a lot more confusing (to me) researching parts now. I don't "need" a new PC at the moment but my current one probably is on borrowed time...so maybe I do. Plan is to gather up parts over the next 3-6 months and just put it together slowly on the weekends with my youngest son. Hoping to get some insights on my "parts list" to see if anything is overkill of if there are better suggestions for some of the things on it. I don't really mess with 4k (yet) I don't play any crazy demanding games at the moment but might in the future ? Really all I play is CS2, Squad and Rust (rarely)
