Hello, I recently built a new computer and it's been great except for one thing, I can't get my front Usb-c port to work. For context: My motherboard is an asrock B650M-HDVM.2 and my case is an Asus Prime 201. The usb c connector is 3.2 gen 2 on both so they should be compatible I THINK. CPU is 7600 if that's relevant.
When I plug something in to the USB C port I get no charging and I see no new devices in windows device manager.
I've double and triple checked that the cable is plugged into the motherboard correctly and even tried holding it in place as I boot the PC but I get nothing. I also installed all available drivers from asrocks website and through windows uodate. I've also tried running the windows troubleshooter and checking for hardware changes. The usb c port on the back works fine.
At this point I am out of ideas. Is there any way to see if the motherboard detects a connected USB cable? Could the motherboard be faulty? Could there be a setting or something I need to change in bios? Any advice is welcome.
