What’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever done when building a pc?

For me, two things:

  1. When plugging in the gpu, I pluggedmy 6700xt into the power cables using two 6 2 connectors. The thing is the second 2 dangles off and doesn’t connect to anything. I just decided to use it anyway and luckily it worked but that was a 2am decision that could’ve fried my gpu.

  2. I forgot to install my i/o shield when plugging in a usb to the back I wasn’t looking and shoved it into a gap and it shorted out the pc. Thought I fried it but it’s been working since
