Current setup is ryzen 3600, tomahawk b450 max, 6600xt, 16gb 3200mhz, 256 nvme m.2 for windows install and 2 1tb ssd. 1440p 144hz monitor msi not sure specifically which one.
I recently had an issue with my 6600xt blacking out. It's currently on rma so it should be back sometime next week. This got me think about doing some upgrades. I normally play everything at 1080p because my card was having issues but I always thought that some ram and a cpu upgrade would give me access to 1440p for most games I play, re4r, lol, warzone2, ff7r, re2r I do streaming and runs for gdq when accepted.
Speedruns on a normal basis for all those games and I would like to be able to break into the higher tiered categories for example my pc cannot handle re2r 120fps at 1080p have to downscale to 720 to be able to stream it and even then I drop to 60 fps often in boss fights which defeats the purpose of the 120fps(knife dmg in that game is linked to framerate)
I was looking at cpu first and a 32gb ram kit to start as I feel that might be my limiter but with my gpu issues. I'm unsure if it's one or the other or if my rig is just not strong enough all around. If that's the case then I may just opt to upgrade the entire rig to am5 and hold off a bit to be able to get those parts as a whole.
