What are the chances of this PSU being alright for a 1060 (6GB) build?

First off I know a lot about it and actually currently have it although I've not given the money over yet, so I'm going to list everything here.

Specs & Info:

PSU: EVGA Supernova 650 G2

Certification: 80 Gold

Cables: All original

Overall inspection: Bit of dust but it cleaned off easily with a hand pump air blower. no exterior damage on casing or inside ports. (looks like its been taken care of)

Info: I'm building a computer for a family member and a friend offered me a deal on a 1060 and the power supply for a really good price. It was bought 3 years ago brand new and was only retired to the box because he upgraded his graphics card to a 30 series and if it wasn't for the required upgrade he says he'd still be using it to this day.

Does reddit think it's good? I know buying second hand PSU's is sometimes dodgy so I'd like opinions also is there any way for me to test it without having to put it in a pc, also any warning signs to watch out for?
