This is my first job in Upwork and I'm hired as a virtual receptionist for a UK client during their off-peak hours. My question is about being paid on Upwork in an hourly basis. My understanding is that I would need to install the Upwork desktop app and track my time with this? The issue is my client explained that since I will be working off-peak I just need to man those hours so they can be operational 24/7 but don't really receive a lot of calls/chats and since the tracker takes screenshots every 10 minutes and tracks keyboard activity will it affect my productivity and pay if I'm really idle in waiting for customer interactions? Client is open to have the contract outside of Upwork and invoice them directly and I verified they are legit, how can I proceed with this efficiently?
