Buffy S8 - Twilight?

I’ve read through all of the Buffy, but not the angel and faith comics. And I’m still not sure I really understand. Can someone please explain, or post me at the relevant article which might explain the twilight/angel and WHY it exists and why it went away?
Maybe season eight was such a massive things, but legitimately have no other questions about the comics other than this part
