Rewatching Season 3 atm and on the Homecoming episode. During the scene where Buffy tries to get the Scoobies to support her run for homecoming queen, I understand why Xander chooses Cordelia since she’s his girlfriend, and I understand Oz following Willow, but I don’t get Willow siding with Cordelia? Her excuse of “she needs it more.” Excuse me, but my girl Buffy killed her boyfriend, was kicked out of school and home, and saved the world from apocalypse last year - if anyone deserves it, it’s her!
I find Willow to be a regularly bad friend to Buffy, and this scene in particular has irked me. If my best friend chose to support our former highschool bully, I wouldn’t take it as well as Buffy does. Also, I’m a huge Cordelia fan, so no dig at her.

Buffy was fine with it.
She's too big to hold a grudge. Besides, Willow is her own person with her own mind. She can do what she wants.
On many occasions, I feel that Buffy, Willow, and Xander are much more mature than a percentage of BtVs fans.
