When Buffy had to kill her classmate, Theresa, that Angelus turned into a Vampire.
Yeah, maybe in the Dominant/submissive level.
She was the Dominant.
I'll summarise it:
Larry approached Xander and asked if he was dating Buffy. Xander said no. Larry then made a lued comment on how he heard that Buffy was "fast" (in a sex way). Xander took umbrage to this and stuck up for her.
Larry was about to hit Xander. Buffy appeared behind Larry and proceeded to whack Larry's head against the vending machine.
Thus, Xander protected Buffy's honour, and Buffy protected Xander from taking a beating. :p
