Please don't assume you are safe just because your node didn't crash during the recent memory exhaustion incident.

We have reason to believe this incident was not a simple memory leak, but an attack of sorts.

It could be that they did not exercise it on all BU nodes, or that some nodes were resistant due to having more memory.

If this is the case, the would-be attackers could step up their game for another round, perhaps.

The 1.0.1.4 fix prevents a crucial validation issue - if your node is using Xthinblocks, you should definitely install this patch even if you haven't been affectet yet .
