I've been dealing with bruxism for a long time now. I (25F) was in med school so I always assumed I was stressed. Now I'm in between (residency next year) so not on any deadline or actively stressed.. and it's getting worse. my cheek hurts, my tragus feels swollen and I get a sharp pain when I touch it plus ear rings, the back of my eye is killing me and my neck is stiff as hell. Also my TMJ is luxated? makes a cracking sound whenever I open my mouth or bite into chewy food.
I wear my retainer. I workout to release energy. I try to relax before going to bed. Nothing works and I cannot open my mouth because of the pain. This sucks and I'm so frustrated. Anyone in the same situation? Any tips?
