Hello all! This'll be a rather unusual post for this subreddit (hoping the mods let it stay!) because I'm a Berkeley student looking to meet people outside from outside my bubble. I thought this might be a good place to start, especially since everything is still online!
Because of how things are this would obviously have to be at mostly by distance, but I think we could make it work with phone calls, texts, and physical letters! That said I live in LA when I'm not in Berkeley for the semester, so perhaps we can arrange something on those occasions?
Anyways, a little about myself:
- 20M
- 3rd year, triple major in history, economics, and philosophy
- interests: music (actually looking for a duet partner for 4 hand piano duets! but i get the sense that this would be rather difficult to arrange), reading (the next book I will be reading will be Walden, by Henry David Thoreau), daydreaming, and wasting a lot of time on reddit :P
- communication preferences: texting (phone or discord!) is cool, but i adore talking on the phone late into the night (honestly, you can get so much more conversation done that way than by text, though my friends don't agree). i've also wanted to be able to exchange handwritten letters by mail on an infrequent basis (depends on how often you are willing to write).
Full disclosure! It's been a real long while since my last proper relationship, and meeting new people has been hard with mostly online classes and my personal commitment to stay away from most social media (this is a throwaway and so I think I will delete it by the end of the month). I really appreciate people who are patient and are great at communicating! Thanks for giving this a quick read all, wishing all of you guys (yes, all of you!) a wonderful quarter (hoping for A 's for everyone!)!
