How to combat depression when therapy isn't an option?

Post Body

Hi, I'm new to this subreddit so don't know if this belongs here or not yet I'm here on a whim. I've liked what I've seen so far.

Basically, title, I highly suspect that I suffer from depression, it's not even suspecting really, I'm quite sure. I've most likely had it for years starting early-teens to now early-twenties.

Mental health care here is notoriously bad. In fact, for a Western European country that's well developed, we have a disproportionate rate of depression and suicides compared to neighbouring countries. Mainly due to high costs, too much demand for the workers and insanely long waiting lists over 6 months long. I've reached out a couple of times, never got an answer back.

Besides that I work a blue-collar job, usually abroad so I just don't have time to be mindful zen yada yada, I only have the weekends.

I don't really have friends or anyone with whom I can talk about it.

What do you peeps do when shits really bad?

Thank you kindly for reading (and responses) ✌️.
