Why does my fracture itch?

hello hello 👋
i fractured my right tibia and fibula on december 27th. no surgery and in a cast. i've been in three separate times for x-rays and thankfully nothing has moved. one weird thing that i've been experiencing recently has been a itching sensation right above the fracture site. it comes and goes but sometimes it's really intense and i can't get to it due to the cast. has anyone else experienced something like this? thanks!
