I remember spending hundreds of hours playing Rogue when it was new. And I'm 90% certain I played Brogue for a bit a couple of decades ago. I've re-discovered it lately, and am having a blast, except... well, the title gives away the punchline.
If I try saving a game, there's about a 1 in 3 chance it crashes. Ok, that's in Beta (although I remember it being in Beta 20 years ago), so no complaints.
If I die, there's about a 1 in 4 chance it crashes.
If I quit without saving, there's about a 50% chance it crashes.
If I'm just playing along, it crashes about once an hour.
Is this a typical experience?
