So my garden parasol got caught by the high winds and broke one of its spokes.
I got some 15mm copper pipe and bashed it into an oval shape at the ends and where the link joins on, drilled a few holes in the right places...Et voila
MacGyver would be proud...except no duct tape used.
Total cost to fix about £8. I would have riveted the support on but the cost of a rivet gun (£20) and a pack of spaced rivets (£25) didn't justify the cost. Going to replace my bent wood screw with a bolt when I can find one in my parts bin that fits
