So I've been considering joining the army doing electronic warfare where its out in the field and very practical which I like. But my uncle who is ex RAF (aircraft engineer) said people in the army get treated badly and they're not as well looked after.
I'm just a bit torn at the moment at which one to choose. I have been in the army cadets and enjoyed army stuff so the RAF is a bit foreign to me. So I'd enjoy the army more I think, I can imagine it being alot more physical.
Bare in mind I already have qualifications in IT and networking so I wouldn't be starting from scratch but I'd want to get as many qualifications as I can get really.
Currently I think the RAF would be better qualifications wise and more comfortable but I'm not exactly looking for that I don't think, where as the army is more suited for my personality because I like being in the moment etc.
The only job roles I saw for IT on the RAF website was doing networking and being a standard IT technician but I think I want something more challenging as I've done it for a few years.
I'd like to hear some opinions.
