Hello fellow travelholics,
my girlfriend and I are currently planning our summer vacation (August) in Canada and would love some recommendations and advice on our plan.
That you can get an impression of us: We're both in our early 30's.
We love: travelling (obviously), diving, good food, getting to know local people and customs, (free) walking tours in cities, nature and cities alike, nice scenery, taking pictures, light to medium hiking, fun activities and day trips.
We don't like: all-inclusive package holidays, overcrowded touristy places, huge groups / tours, exhausting activities.
Here is our current plan - we would love to hear recommendations and advice on it:
- 3 days in Vancouver: free walking tours, sightseeing,...
- 4 days on Vancouver Island (Victoria, Nanaimo, whale watching)
- 1,5 days in Squamish (Sea to Sky)
- 1 day in Harrison Hot Springs
- 3-4 days in Okanagan Valley (Narameta, Kalamalka Lake, wine tour)
- 5 days in the Canadian Rockies (Paragliding, Lake Loise, Banff National Park, Kindersley Summit, Radium Hot Springs, Mount Assiniboine, Magog Lake)
- Drive back to Vancouver (via Hells Gate)
Is there anything we need to see/do in the mentioned locations? Are the days sufficient for each stop? We really appreciate your recommendations!
Thank you!
